Quick Updates!! *grinz*
Last Fri, I got to go down to site the 2nd time!! heheh =p That time was to observe the
Ultimate Load Test for the same project... *smilez* Then as usual, I'm calculating the column loading on that day as well... For this whole week, besides finished calculating the column loading for the Lynwood Project... I got to design slabs, beams, run ATS beam analysis and draw beam details for another project at How Sun Dr... heheh =p On wed, I went down with the engineer for
periodical inspection of buildings...*beamz* Now then I know that those commercial and industrial buildings will need to be inspected every 5 yrs... It's under section 28 of the Building Control Act - Chapter 29...=)
For today, I get to visit site for the 3rd time!! This one was an impromtu one... I only know it on the day itself!! It's another project at Pioneer Walk!! *I'm supposed to go town after work... then this place it's so near to NTU!! so far from town... -_-"* Not only that... I'm not in proper shoes to visit site... but nvm I still want to go.... coz duno when will I have the chance to visit site... So, I left with the engineer at ard 4plus for Pioneer Walk... It's my first time visiting site at work...heheh Got to see the beams, slabs, pile caps, columns.... *So cool!! hahaha* The engineer also passed me the clayey silt... told me to bring that home n play with it hahaha =p Had a Great Visit over there... *smilez* Next week, I will continue to finish up on the beam detailing for one project and move on to the column detailing for another project...=)
After the visit, I quickly reached Jurong Point to lend
Wanchew the discount card to buy skirt before watching movie with her friends... At the same time I'm waiting for
Weiling!! =) We were supposed to meet up in
Orchard after my work... but due to the impromtu site visit... got to meet her up at Boon Lay MRT instead... luckily she was in NTU and will be travelling out from there... So we headed down to Orchard!! We went to the Fujitsu service centre to add RAM to her laptop... then we walked ard for a while before we had our dinner... In the end, we had our dinner at
The Coffee Club at Taka... The food there are good!! We had
spaggetti, macaroni, "Bangers n Mash" - Sausages with mashed potato *it's very nice!! It's A MUST TRY Dish!!! Love it!!! =)* The Best part are our desserts!! The
Brownies with Ice-cream and the Chocolate Fondue!! They are simply Great!! Yummy!! Had a Happy Meal!! hehehe *beamz* After our dinner, we had a long chat... catching up with one another... Thanks for sharing and listening... Had a Great time chatting with you gal!! =) Meanwhile... Take Care Gal!! *smilez*

Yesterday, besides going down to site to observe the
Pile Dynamic Analyser Test in the morning, I also learnt something new in the afternoon... That's
Column Loading!! =p Around 4 plus in the late afternoon, the engineer taught me how to calculate column loading as my next task it's to calculate column loading... as I had
completed all the beam and slab designs for the project le...*smilez*
Hence, today I have been designing columns...=) I find that it's more difficult...or is it I'm not used to it yet...*hmmz* I took very long to complete one column...=( To calculate one column, I need to calculate for all the levels... from roof to attic to 2nd storey to 1st storey... looking at both the archi and structural drawings... *think I'm still new to it ba... just learnt it yesterday afternoon... today started to calculate... then take sooo long to complete one column... Only managed to do a few columns only...=(* Tml I shall speed up!! If not later my sup tot I "eat snake" hahah stared so long at the drawings hahah *bleah*
Yesterday after work, I went to visit the
Dentist Finally!! After procrastinating it for years!!! *oops* Feeling so good now... with super cleaned teeth le... the dentist cleaned n polished my teeth... heheh =p As for today, I was super tired after work after calculating the columns... went home straight to rest... and also start to prepare my
proposal for the Pre-Camp of the Entrepreneurship Camp...*grinz*

Having a Date with the Engineer!! =p
Tomorrow, I will be
having a Date with an Engineer!! hahah =p It is because my supervisor wants him to take me down to site tml... Yeah!! After 4 weeks of IA, Finally I get the chance to go for site visit...*beamz* Late in the afternoon, my supervisor had given me this project to follow through as this Fo Guang Shan project just had groundbreaking today... Hence, I will be able to learn and observe the construction from the start of the project... So, I will be following the engineer for site visits for this project...=) After blogging, I will read up on some notes about what they will be doing at the site tml... which is the Pile Dynamic Analysis test... *I just got the notes today only... brought them home...=(*
Besides this project, I have been designing beams n slabs for the Bungalow project... and I had completed them... Will move on to the design of columns for this project...*smilez* I'm very happy as I get to learn quite a lot from IA...*grinz* Since tml I'm going down to site, I will not be able to wear nice nice to work as usual... will be wearing jeans tml with track shoes... though after the site visit will return to office to work... *so sadz can't wear nice nice to work tml... but nvm....
Finally got to visit site for the first time!! heheh looking forward...=)*

On Tue, met up with
BiJin after work for dinner at
PizzaHut at PS... We ordered
Hawaiian pan pizza, sausage pasta, honey roasted wings n spicy drumlets, money bags and soup of the day to share...*winkz* Great to catch up with one another after quite some time... think the last time we met up was during dec...our cycling trip at ECP...*smilez* One wkend, we should go cycling again... my cycling buddy!! *grinz* Meanwhile, Jiayou for your FYP!! =)
So far my IA is alright... have been designing beams for the bungalow project by looking at the structural and architectural drawings... last fri I start to learn how to draw the beam profile and beam detailing...*smilez* Hence, besides designing the beam and run the computer program, I'm drawing the beam profile and detailing as well...=p *cool!! learning quite a bit of stuffs le...=p hope will get to learn more n more heheh =)*

Food, n Food n More Food!! =p
Yesterday was 人日，I had family dinner plus 捞鱼生!! Had abalone in the 鱼生 too!! heheh =p In the night, went out for supper at
Serangoon Garden Coffee Bean and Chomp Chomp with
SongKwang, Jieming, Jarren, Kelvin, Dong, Yanling n me... Then, suddenly we wanted to eat the 蚝煎 aka "or lua" at
Makan Sutra Gluton Bay situated opposite of esplanade... and we drove down to have another round of supper...hahah *feel like a bunch of gluton...winkz*
Today, met up with
DuanNeng to have lunch at Kovan... there's this new
HongKong Cafe opened there... so we went to try the food...=p There's a wide range of food offered there... from timsum to western baked rice, spaghetti to soup noodles n many more... *yummy* We ordered
black pepper chicken spaghetti, pan fried guo tie, prawn dumpling aka "ha kao", ham n cheese sandwich, mango pudding n chinese tea!! *grinz* Had a great lunch n chatting session over there...*smilez* One good thing about this cafe is that it's a 24hr cafe... so can consider this place for supper too!! *wahahahah =p*

Super Tiring Day!!
Super Tiring day... Went back to NTU to give my form to my IA tutor... Then, went to check out if the dentist is open... and it was closed...*sadz* Then, went to Hall 12 to wait for Yanling to finish discussion... As we are going to JP with Jarren, Leonard and Clemence to buy the food for tonight's
steamboat, hotplate, and Jieming's Birthday meal! heheh =p So happy!! It's quite long ever since we have a steamboat cum hotplate session le... in the past it's at a chalet... this time round it's in Hall...heheh *grinz*
While shopping at JP NTUC, we met our JC friend Stuart and his gf... It's very nice of him to drive us back to hall after buying all the food...=) After we reached hall, I need to leave for NUS for a meeting on the Entrepreneurship Camp, hence couldn't help them out with the food...=( *always like to prepare food for steamboat n hotplate...nvm... there are always other times...=p missed this time because of SongKwang who had scheduled the meeting on Today!! haiz* After the meeting, I came back to hall without SK, he coming later after having dinner with the rest of the committee members... I reached Hall 12 at ard 9plus 10 and they have not started eating yet!! Super late dinner le as some of them busy meeting in Hall... so they did not start eating...
Around 10pm then we -
Jieming, Kelvin, Jarren, RuiGuang, Leonard, Hengkia, Clemence, Leon, Cyndi, Christine, Shuhui, Jasmine, and many others... started eating... Started off with
Lao Yu Sheng!! Then with the steamboat and hotplate...*yummy* Also, I got to catch up with
Weiling!! Long time no see her le...Yeah!! Finally got to catch up with ya!! We must go out during the recess break wor!! Meanwhile, Take Good Care of yourself gal!! =) Before 12... We sang Birthday song to Jieming and cut cake... After that, Yanling and me took cab home... We can't stay over as tml I need to work and she no longer stay in hall le... Thurs and Fri will be quite boring ba... coz half of the people in my office took leave till mon!! I'm an IA student so not entitled to leave benefits...=( However, must be contented le... coz most people start work on wed... mine thurs... very lucky already!! heheh Okie got to slp le... need to wake up at 730am... Nitez
