Today it's 初二... went to my grandma hse to 拜年!! All my maternal relatives are all there... Had our lunch n also 捞鱼生 together... Then, went to my auntie's hse as well... Had our dinner there b4 we set off to 舅妈's office building to sing ktv, play pool, etc...*smilez* It was a super long and tiring day...heheh =p
Like the dish 麦片虾 very much for dinner... heheh... Ate a lot of food today... from new year goodies to yu sheng to soup to 汤水 to homemade grass jelly to wine to lunch n dinner... So much food... hopefully no indigestion ah... hahah =p Luckily this year's new year fall on sun, so we get to have another public hols... heheh =p Tml I can rest well at home and write my IA logbook entry...=)

Great Chinese New Year short gathering at 12 midnight just now!!
SongKwang, Jarren, Jieming, Clemence, Yanling, Juana and Me went to watch the movie -
霍元甲 at GV Bishan at 12am... The movie is very nice!! With great wushu scenes...to inspiring and meaningful morals...and ideas expressed between the lines...=) After the movie, we went off for supper... Due to chinese new year, a lot of places will not be opened, so we try our luck at the roti prata restaurant off thomson rd... it's open but it's fully packed!!! Then we drove further up near to upper pierce rd... the 2 stores were closed... In the end, we went to 7 eleven to buy food n drinks n icecream and found a table with chairs, so all of us sat there to eat n chit-chat!! =p
Had a Great time just now... it was the first time for me watching midnight movie hahah =p Btw, on new year's eve, I tried dyeing my hair...diy... Guess what??... can't see the colour at all!! Haiz... My friends just now advised me to pick brighter colours... so as to achieve the colour I want... Coz when you dye... the colour will not appear like the model on the box!! Kind of deceiving ah?! hahaha Oh well... see when I'm going to try diy again...heheh =p Okie got to go slp le, need to wake up at ard 930am... need to go 拜年!! *grinz*

Quite a few days nv blog le... I shall update now...=p Hmm... me still haven decide to dye my hair or not... see how tml... *grinz* As for my IA, I have learnt how to design slab on tue... with the help of the excel spreadsheets and the structural drawings of the bungalows... finished designing both bungalows with 1st, 2nd and attic level... *so proud of myself... hahah* Then on wed, the engineer taught me to design beams... by looking at the structural drawings and calculating for all the beams... so far I'm done with the design n analysis for 2nd level... now doing 1st level.. very happy... learning quite a lot from the engineers...*smilez*
As for today, everyone in the company were in the mood for chinese new year!! The best part it's the boss let us work half day!! Yeah!! Ended work after lunch...=p I went shopping around at bugis junction... bought a bag which I had aimed for very long le at $15.90 and a brooch at $9.90...*beamz* Then, I set off for Plaza Singapura as evening time I will be meeting

To Dye or Not to Dye 。。。That's e Question 。。。
Start of my 2nd wk of IA... Today, I continued with the beam analysis using ATS, and I have completed all the blocks - maths, phys n facilities blocks... Then, I went to ask for more job... was asked to run beam analysis for bungalows - attic level...*was staring n figuring out the structural drawings... hahah already much simpler compared to the huge NTU project le... but still quite hard to read... like so compact n messy hahah oops!* Finished doing them as well for today...=p The engineer told me he will teach me to do spreadsheets tomorrow... Looking forward to it... heheh =p Have been self studying on RC design as well... so as to ease my understanding n learning in the office... *smilez*
Went for a haircut after work... have not been cutting my hair for at least 4mths already... It's time to cut it plus I need to cut my hair for chinese new year... Now, it's much shorter n neater in a way... heheh =p I'm actually very
gian to dye or highlight my hair... but till now I haven done it yet... due to many considerations... hahah scared later very awful on me... then make my hair dry... blah blah blah... then it's also quite ex to dye in a salon... duno is it better to DIY... haiz... haven make up my mind yet... *pondering*

Had a Super Great day on Friday!! A day
Full of Surprises!! heheh =p Started my day as per normal... working in the office... then around noon time... First Surprise! my supervisor asked me to help with the engineer to send the drawings down to the architect for tender exercise... so happy! got to experience something different... so off we went with the drawings... while in the cab... I'm curious about what the engineers does inside the company and what's the procedure like in the industry...blah blah blah so asked him more about the work... I'm getting more n more interested le...hahah suddenly have the feeling of regret for not studying well for my course... as all the while I did not think of going into engineering... seems like right now I have a different perspective and opinion about engineering le... *smilez*
After work, met up with
Wanchew to go
Marina Square to shop around for chinese new year... *it's only my 2nd trip shopping for cny stuffs... really no time ah...* Besides shopping, I'm getting the RC notes which I asked her on tue to help me buy from sch as I want to study on RC... it will be helpful for me during my IA...=) Once we reached, we started our shopping!! =p Me looking for a pair of black heels for cny as 1pair of my black heels was spoilt and another very old le... giving way anytime soon... *can see the glue between the top n bottom le...oops!* Hence, I have decided to buy a pair of black heels for new year and to match my new year clothes... hehehe =p Didn't have time to go around to buy new year clothes le... So over the last wkend I had searched through my wardrobe to see if I have any clothes that I have not wear it before... and I found 2 tops and a skirt that are still new!! The red top goes very well with that black skirt... so Set!! This shall be my new year clothes le... so don't have to shop le... just need a pair of black heels...=)
Started off with Wanchew buying mascara n foundation at Sasa... n me trying to look for a nice perfume... Finally, I have decided on one le... shall wait till fri then buy... till now still quite broke... haven got my pay from SPH yet... *still owe me 1mths pay ah... hahah* Will be buying it for new year... gonna be the First perfume I buy... *mountain turtle =p* Then, we walked around the shops... looking at clothes... I tried a skirt...very nice n fitting... but I never buy... coz really hard to mix n match ah hahah As for her, she bought a black skirt... heheh *gd buy gal =p* Then we continued walking n me searching for my heels... n I've found it!! Nice n simple... very nice!!! *happy* Bought it for new year!! My 2nd surprise... saw a bag...very nice... Have been searching for a bag to match my light-coloured clothings for a long time le... n today I found it!! *super happy* My 3rd surprise was the boss of the shop gave me a member card as well... heheh After all these shopping, around 9plus we went to
Asian Kitchen for dinner... Had fried ice-cream for dessert! *yummy*
Feeling so happy!! Got a pair of heels and a bag!! =p Also, gained some enlightenment in the morning... What a Great Day I had... With many surprises... *grinz*
2nd Day of IA 。。。
Today, woke up at 730am... went down at 805am... reached the busstop at ard 810am... waited for the bus... first bus came at 815... it was very packed so I never get up the bus... 2nd bus reached at ard 820+ n it just drove passed as it was totally full... n finally!! I got onto the 3rd bus which arrived at ard 830am... In the end, I'm still early by a few mins hahah!! =p The journey only took half an hr... so now I know 830 it's the latest time to board a bus... if not I will be late for work!! Yeah!! I can safely wake up at 730am and still be early for work!! *grinz* Today's work was alright as well... completed maths block le... tml will start on the physics block... will carry on with the beam and column analysis with the help of the program...heheh =p
After I knocked off from work at 6pm, rushed to take bus as I'm going back to NYJC for a meeting... I will be helping out in organising the Entrepreneurship Camp in June...=) Looking forward to it... it has been quite some time for me not involved in organising events... Really missed that feeling... *smilez* Though this one I'm only helping out... not the main organisers... but I want to challenge myself in getting sponsorship for the event than to just organising them, since I have been organising for years le... hahah *see how everything goes... before deciding what role I want to take up in the committee...=p*
First Day of Industrial Attachment 。。。
Today, I'm super early for work!! hahah woke up at 7am... boarded the bus at 755am and reached there at 825am which is 35mins early as I'm supposed to report at 9am!! Din expect I'm super early... thought that morning will have traffic jam along that road that my bus drove by... So I gave a conservative estimate of an hr's journey... In the end, I'm super early and the office was not opened yet... Hence, I walked around to familarise myself so that I know where to have my lunch...* just in case since I'm the only IA student over there... sadz =(* Tomorrow I can wake up a bit later... perhaps 715am...*grinz*
Today's work was quite alright... currently my company is rushing a project right now... my supervisor is the accredited checker for this project... so I'm now helping them with this... guess wat?? hahah the building that we are checking on it's NTU new School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences which will be situated at the current Hall 3 location at the south spine area... Interesting!! heheh =p Also, the engineers working there are also NTU Graduates!! *same sch... more 亲切! heheh* So far so gd... looking forward to learn more things... today got to learn n use a program for beam analysis... *smilez*

Monday will be the start of my IA!! Looking forward to it...=) On wed, I got my company and thurs the person called me up about the details... Yeah!! it's 5 day wk!! *happy* Working from 9am to 6pm with 1 hr lunch break...=p As for the allowance... it's yet to be confirmed... hahah Praying for nice colleagues over there... and able to learn as much as I can over there...=)

Searching for New Year Clothes 。。。
Yesterday, went back to school for IA briefing n bought the IA logbook... currently still waiting... Praying hard to get a good company where I can learn more skills, gain new experiences n knowledge and with nice colleagues over there... Looking forward to it... *smilez*
Went to visit my friends in Hall 12... but many of them having lessons... so only managed to catch

DuanNeng to go down to Bugis to shop around for New Year clothes...*so long nv go shopping le since I had been working during the hols =p*
So happy!! Finally I got to shop at Bugis Village!! Haven been there to shop before after the renovation...heheh =p There are many shops there... like a maze... walked round n round... hahah In the end, I didn't managed to buy any clothes for new year yesterday... but I did bought some other stuffs instead *grinz* Got a dark brown top from a shop in bugis junction... then a eye shimmer n mascara from Bodyshop... *first time bought a mascara...hahah trying out for new yr =p* Got to go out on other days to look for my new year clothes le... so hard to find... It's always like that... once u have something in mind that you want to buy... always can't find it one... 顺其自然 ba hahah *but new yr is so near le...oops!* Hope I will get my New Year clothes soon...*praying hard =p*

Hurray!! Finally I'm having my holidays!! *grinz* Worked till 6 Jan for my vacation job... heheh want to take 1 wk break before going for my Industrial Attachment as I started working immediately after my exams... =p
Yesterday, I had my
First lesson for swimming!! Supposed to start at 4pm to 5pm... then that coach did not appear n couldn't contact him... even though it's raining heavily... but still have to keep us informed... then ard 4plus the rain got smaller... my cousins came down to swim n play with water...so I also went down since I'm there le... While we were playing, my uncle got another coach who was teaching somebody else over there to teach my auntie, her friend n me... so we started our lesson at 5pm with a new coach! =p The water was so cold after the rain... shivering inside hahah but well... we went ahead with the lesson... we are learning
breast stroke now.... the leg movement n the head movement coordination *with the board under our arms though hahah* Not bad... quite gd progress le for first lesson... think we will be able to swim at the end of the mth... *grinz* After the lesson, went up to my grandma hse to have a warm bath... so cold in the pool... Then, my uncle drove me home as I'm going out to meet my council friends... so did not stay for dinner at my grandma place...
Once I reached home, quickly got myself ready n rushed down to
Lido to meet them for dinner... Had

Hall 12 Bash at ChinaBlack... It was my first time there... went down to support my Hall DND canvassing... Quite a big group of us went -
SongKwang, Jarren, Jieming, Kelvin, Dong, Marvin, Doh, Ivy, Yanling, Juana, Roland n Me... Think the last Bash that I went to was like more than 9mths ago... I never visit these clubs on our own... the times that I went were my Hall Bashes... n that's if a lot of my friends are going as well or when I'm part of JCRC *got to support all events =p* So sad... SongKwang couldn't join us in the end...*less 1 person to join in the fun* met his pri sch friend along the street whom had some personal prob... hence he went off with his friend... That's what friends are for... *smilez*
The rest of us had fun inside... They ordered lotsa drinks... I also duno what are they... in Jugs... not beer... then played the drinking game... Me drank my std drink that comes with the tix, n a bit of those drinks they ordered... also, Angela passed me a tequila shot... first time drinking that... luckily no effect on me... thought it's quite high alcohol content heheh =p Basically, at the end of the day... Kelvin n Doh were gone... hahah They were drunk already... super high... dancing over there... All the sober ones were taking care of them both... First time saw my friends drank till like that... All of us are going home except Kelvin... Jasmine n Kelvin were dancing there... Just nice!! coz previously I asked Jasmine how she going back as Christine n Shuhui had gone home before her... She is also going back hall but haven found anyone to go back together... Hence, they can accompany one another back to hall together... Asked her to msg me when they are back safe n sound in hall...=) The rest of us live very near one another... so we just shared cab home... *smilez*

New Year Resolutions for 2006 。。。
1. To Continue to Work Hard for my DegreeLast semester, I had created a milestone for myself... I have done it!! I must continue to work hard for my degree n strive for better grades... I must find back the same old me who can excel in my studies... Though, I know I have no chance to get an Honours degree... I must still work hard to change the grades which will be reflected in the transcript...=)
I'm in the process of learning to get my priorities right... n be discipline enough to fulfil my duty as a student... It's only when I can be discipline enough n have my priorities right, then I could accomplished more things in life... That includes many other things I enjoy doing in life...*smilez*2. Got to Figure out what kind of Career Path I would like to take when I GraduateFor the first half of the year, I will be on Industrial Attachment. This is a gd time for me to see if I would like to work as an engineer... though I have never in my life wanted to become an engineer... Hence, it's a gd time for me to think through what I would like to have for my career in the future... Getting a job is not that tough... it's to have a career in life which is challenging... Therefore, I have to start researching to see where my interest lies, what are the possible opportunities out there for me and to sit down n think through what I really want to do in life after graduation...
This will be a super long journey in exploring n I have 1 n half yrs to find this out for myself...=) All the Best to me!!
3. Learn New Skills, be it useful in work or just personal interest =)Will be learning
Swimming... have always wanted to learn but nv got my chance to... hahah Will be starting my first lesson in January...=p Learning it together with my auntie n her friend at my grandma hse...yeah!! After I know how to swim, will go learn how to
Kayak!! =p Also, I will be exploring on those softwares for
Video-making, Flash... *since I'm not very IT inclined... so must do something about it heheh =p* Last year, I have started on knitting already... completed a scarf!!! Super happy!!! Feel so proud of myself!! *grinz* Hence, besides cross-stitching, I know how to knit le... hahaha =p Last year, I told myself to learn
Cooking from my mum... till nw I haven done anything about it!! Such a procratinator ah...oops!! This year, I must start to learn... start from basics first?? hahah see what she wants to teach me first le... heheh =p Should be learning to do those simple dishes ba... since the Best food I can cook are only those instant kind or microwave kind... dun need much preparation... Lazy Piggy!! *oops!!* So now, it's to learn the Real Cooking...=p
4. Spend More Time with my Family n FriendsLast year, I believe I did spend time with my friends n family... well... time spent with them it's never enough... so muz continue to treasure n cherish them... be there for them when they needed me... The world is so big... it's only fate that brings us together as a family or friends...
Hence, no matter how busy life can get... I must still spend time with them... I will never take them for granted... *at least so far... I have been reminding myself on this... n do my Best not to ever take things for granted...as no one owe me a living =)* Will keep it up the good work!! *grinz*
5. Will wait for Mr. Right to appear...Something to share...

Looking Back at 2005 。。。
It had been a year - a brand new start for me... learning to adapt to a new kind of lifestyle which was very different from what i had over the years... In addition, my year was also full of ups n downs... It was a roller coaster ride for me with emotions flying high & low every now and then...
First, it started off with a total change of environment for me... I had made a Big Decision to move back hm from Hall... At that point in time, it was so hard for me to let go... I really enjoy my stay in hall... be involved in Hall activities... from organising events as JCRC Social Secretary in 03/04... participating in Hall events... ranging from canvassing projects such as garang guni, bashes,... Freshmen Orientation Camps, Dinner n Dance, Inter-Civilisation Games, Inter-Hall games, n the list goes on... Lots of fun memories n experiences... When i'm in yr 3... my batch of council guys came into ntu... they are also staying in hall 12... missed those late night sessions cooking our own feasts with those minimal cooking equipments in the pantry...=p Then, those stocking up of food at JP NTUC... then those bdae celebrations for all hall frens... Lots of fun involved... Really love hall life very much!!
However, I had made my decision to move back hm after staying there for 2 n half yrs... Many reasons are behind this final decision... The main reason, it's to go back hm n be focus on my studies... I did not do well in my second yr... n had 'bao' a lot of modules... well... I know it very well that I'm not smart enough to do those last min catching up n 'smoke' my way through in the exams... I need consistent work in order to do well... plus engineering's workload it's rather heavy for me... with at least 7 modules per sem... n with loads of activities going on... It takes a lot of discipline to study hard... esp when my interest doesn't lies in engineering... I never imagine myself as an engineer ever in my whole life!! It was such a chore for me to study!! Perhaps, it's the lost in interest in my studies which resulted me in not being discipline enough to do well for my studies... n caused me to be so active in activities... which i do enjoy myself in and they took up quite a lot of my time... I have always love organising events... love the feeling of satisfaction after the success of each n every event I organised... feel so proud of myself...*beamz* I'm those kind of people who can do very well in something as long as I'm interested n passionate about it... as I will put in more than 100% kind of time n effort in it hahah =p
Well, after 3 semesters of bad results... I really feel very frightened by them... I want to graduate!! I need to do something concrete to change this terrible situation... Hence, I made my decision to move back hm in dec 2004 not long after my results were released... To keep myself from all the distractions - the things i love n enjoy doing, so that I can only study n do nothing else... Now, I believed I have made a good decision... Finally, I have passed all my modules in a semester!! My effort is being paid off!! I will continue to strive for gd grades... Must continue to Jiayou!! =)
This is really a good start for me... I will slowly pick up things all over again... n gain a balance in the things i do... n be disciplined enough to plan my time well... so that I can lead the busy lifestyle with many activities which I enjoy doing n at the same time able to fulfil my responsibility as a student...=) I'm in the process of learning n remaking...*grinz*Then, from June onwards till October, an interesting episode happened in my life... which stirs up lots of emotions... n I was on a roller coaster ride... with happy times, sad times, frustrating times, worried times, n many more kinds of emotions... I believe I had given the Best that I can... n I did make full effort in maintaining it... it takes 2 hands to clap with a sound... hence, I have no regrets for the outcome... Take good care of yourself... May you blessed with good health, success n happiness...=)

As for the last mth of my 2005, i'm working temporary at SPH customer service... This job opened my eyes to all kinds of people in this world... 真的是一种米养百种人啊！Din expect to see many bad points of people in this world... Well... it's indeed a gd experience working there...=p
Looking back at 2005, it wasn't a year that's smooth-sailing for me... However, it's definitely a year which made me learnt a lot... be it academically, emotionally n mentally... I would say it's a meaningful year for me...*smilez*
23rd Student Council Xmas Dinner 。。。*smilez*
On 3oth December, we had our Annual Council Xmas Dinner =) This year, we are having something different from the past 4 years... For the first 2 years, we had it at Sizzler, 3rd in Kublan Mongolian Restaurant, 4th at Little India area... a cozy restaurant at one of the shophouses (forgot the name...oops! =p) n this year at Yanz's hse!! We catered the Riverside Indonesian Restaurant food in...=p So Happy!! Finally, it's the Time of the year to gather together!! =) Tonight, we have 17 of us -
SongKwang, Jarren, Jieming, Kelvin, Dong, Doh, Yanling, Juana, DuanNeng, Serene, Sumay, Ivy, Trina, Marvin, Jingwen n Hadiyanto... As usual, we had our
xmas gift exchange... this year, there's sthg new added in..

The highlight of the night is the screening of the videos of us...*smilez* Brings back loads of memories... n saw our looks, the "tootness" in us... wahahah =p Really love those times... *reminiscent =)* After all these, we helped to clear up the place... then we played some games... chit-chatted... around 4plus we left for hm...=)
Just nw, spent my New Year's eve with
SongKwang, Kelvin, Dong n Doh... Met up at Bishan J8... The plan it's to have
Seoul Garden for dinner since we have not eaten seoul garden for a few yrs le hahah =p When we were there, we realised Seoul Garden is no longer situated there... so, we took train to Amk Mo Kio to have Seoul Garden...=) Had a super full n bloated dinner... even my tummy is popping out!! (oops!!) After dinner, we went to arcade... we played the racing car game... ( i duno what's the name of the game *grinz*) Nice game... though i dun really know how to drive... as i dun frequent arcade at all even when i'm in my teenage years... heheh =p Around 11pm, we headed home... Recent years, we don't feel like squeezing with pple at those countdown parties... we did went for countdown before a few yrs back... of course with many more council friends...=p Had a Great Last Meal of the year 2005...
May my New Year in 2006 be a Meaningful, Fulfilling n Enriching one!! heheh =p
